What are the Penalties for Ambien Possession or Distribution?

- Ambien Prescription Forgery, Theft or Fraud – a Third Degree Crime
- Fines of up to $50,000
- Up to 5 years in NJ State Prison
- Second Degree Ambien Possession with intent to distribute – 100 or more Ambien pills
- Fines of up to $300,000
- Up to 10 years in NJ State Prison
Driving under the influence of Ambien (also known as Ambien DUI) is also a chargeable offense.
