What is Adderall?
Adderall is a prescription drug containing a combination of amphetamine and dextroamphetamine. It has stimulating and focusing effects and is used legally to treat several disorders, including attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (or ADHD) and narcolepsy. Adderall has also gained popularity for illegal uses such as a study drug for students, as well as a party drug. Adderall comes in pill form, but it is sometimes crushed into powder and snorted. Like other prescription drugs, Adderall can be highly addictive and harmful when used illegally, and has been classified as a Schedule II drug by the DEA.
